Hey, it's gardening time again! The annuals went into their pots and planters and the garden borders again these past weekends, and are now growing enthusiastically.

I am amazed and blessed each spring by how beatuful a flower can be, and how healing is a garden-full. I forget it all every winter; maybe there is a purpose to that.

Here is a lighter view of the garden scene, especially for all fellow lovers of the plant kingdom:

Astilbe Loving You

I should have sedum long ago:
Bleeding heartaches come to call
When I dahlia on the telephone,
And you don’t carrot all.

I feel so low and peony,
Just knowing you lilac you do.
My dogwood never tolerate
The dirt you drag me through.

I grow impatiens, thinking weed
Best part, and thistle be adieu.
I’ve mint to, but I just can’t say
“Hosta la vista” to you.

For dear, your tulips are the ones
I pine to kiss, it’s true.
And thyme and thyme again I’ll say:
Astilbe loving you.
